Preparation Fidelity
We follow the classical preparation method for each formulation — not an approximation of it. If a method calls for slow heat over several hours, that is what we do. Speed is not a value we optimise for.
Medi Herbal was founded on a straightforward conviction: that traditional herbal preparation methods, followed with discipline and without shortcuts, produce formulations worth trusting. The brand grew from a family background in Unani medicine — a system of herbal practice with roots stretching back centuries across South Asia and the Middle East.
The three products we make today — Majoon Salsa, Salsa Capsule, and Salsa Tilla — are not new inventions. They are preparations that have existed in traditional herbal literature for generations. What we bring is consistency: the same sourcing, the same preparation method, the same quality standard, batch after batch.
We are a small operation by choice. Small batches allow us to maintain the hands-on preparation that traditional formulations require. We do not outsource compounding. We do not substitute ingredients for cheaper alternatives. The formulations are made the way they were designed to be made — slowly, carefully, and with attention to each step.
These are not aspirational statements. They are the practical constraints we work within every time we prepare a formulation.
We follow the classical preparation method for each formulation — not an approximation of it. If a method calls for slow heat over several hours, that is what we do. Speed is not a value we optimise for.
Every ingredient in our formulations is there because the traditional recipe calls for it — not as a filler, not as a cost-saving substitute. We source botanical-grade materials and do not dilute with commodity alternatives.
We describe our products in specific, honest terms — what they are, how they are made, and what they are for. We do not make therapeutic claims we cannot support, and we do not use vague language to imply more than we can demonstrate.
Three steps that define how every Medi Herbal product is made — and why none of them can be skipped.
We source each botanical ingredient from suppliers who can provide material at the grade required for traditional compounding. This means whole or minimally processed plant material — not standardised extracts designed for industrial supplement production. Sourcing takes longer. It costs more. It is not negotiable.
Each formulation is prepared according to its classical method. Majoon Salsa and Salsa Capsule follow the majoon compounding process — a slow, low-heat binding of botanical materials. Salsa Tilla follows the tila oil infusion method. Neither process is rushed. Batch sizes are kept small enough that preparation can be done by hand throughout.
Before packaging, each batch is checked for consistency against the previous batch — colour, texture, aroma, and weight. We do not release batches that fall outside the expected range. Products are packaged in materials appropriate for the formulation type and labelled with full ingredient information and usage guidance.
Each product page includes full preparation details, usage guidance, and ingredient notes — written to give you a clear picture of what you are taking and why.
